Faith Formation

Faith Formation Registration Form

In the document Renewing the Vision:  A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops set three goals for the youth of our country:

1. To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

2. To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.

3. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

St. Patrick’s vision for Youth Ministry encompasses these three goals.  We ask the parish for their prayers and support.  Parents are encouraged to be aware, and take advantage, of the various opportunities for growth in faith for their children. Adults in the parish are encouraged to discern whether their stewardship of time and talent might include working with youth.

St. Patrick’s offers Faith Formation Classes for Kindergarten thru 8th Grade on a weekly basis and 9th thru 12th Grade on a bi-weekly basis throughout the school year.  Our goal is to present the gift of faith and the beliefs of the Catholic Church to the young people of our parish.  We offer Sacramental preparation for First Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation.

Director of K-6 is Sr. Marietta Spenner.

Kindergarten - 3rd Grade Classes are held on Sunday 10:15—11:30am

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

A step-by-step journey into the life of the Church, which includes its teachings, its doctrines, its beliefs by education, experience, prayer, liturgical celebration, etc.  The program is offered annually beginning in the Fall and peaks with initiation at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. A time to introduce the Catholic faith to inquirers and/or those who may be interested in becoming Catholic, as well as a good renewal of faith for those “already Catholic”.  For more information, please contact Sr. Marietta or Fr. Art.

Adult Formation Programs

All adults of the parish are invited to attend Adult Formation Programs. Sessions are scheduled during Advent and Lent. They are announced in the bulletin and before Mass.
