(The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is a communal process for formal initiation of new members into the Catholic Church. This process is a return to the formation of the earliest members of the Church in the first and second centuries.)
A step-by-step journey into the life of the Church, which includes its teachings, its doctrines, its beliefs by education, experience, prayer, liturgical celebration, etc. The program is offered annually beginning in the Fall and peaks with initiation at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. A time to introduce the Catholic faith to inquirers and/or those who may be interested in becoming Catholic, as well as a good renewal of faith for those “already Catholic”. For more information, please contact Fr. C.P. or Pat Mertz in the parish office, 254-2828.
The Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination in the United States, accounting for about 25 percent of the country’s population.
Living as a Catholic includes many wonderful beliefs, practices, and devotions; too many to catalog here. But we hope to provide you with a brief overview of what we believe and how we live that belief.
While the Catholic Church is the largest religion in the world, it is sometimes also the most misunderstood.
The beliefs of the Catholic Church and her beautiful teachings are consistent through the ages.
Becoming Catholic today means joining an ancient faith, deeply rooted in the teachings and traditions of Christ, that is filled with hope and vibrancy as we continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the ends of the earth.
